Guided by a desire to provide high-quality and compassionate health care, all employees and physicians at Venice Regional Medical Center constantly strive to improve the care provided for patients by making services more convenient and more comfortable. The health system is home to a full array of inpatient and outpatient services that are provided at the 312-bed hospital on the Island of Venice, the HealthPark outpatient facility, or by employees at the Clinical Laboratory located just a block from the hospital facility.

Because of our emphasis on quality care, Venice Regional Medical Center has been especially recognized for the joint replacement program and for general surgery. Our cardiovascular surgery program also has some of the best outcomes in the region. Following is a description of the many services you can access at Venice Regional. In addition, our Medical Staff bylaws require that, in order to be on staff, physicians must be either Board-certified or eligible for Board certification.

Emergency Care and Fast Track
Our Emergency Care Center is available 24 hours per day to help in the event of an emergency. The program was also recently expanded to include a Fast Track component to assist those with less serious injuries and illness.

Comprehensive Cardiac Care
To meet your cardiac needs, the hospital has developed a comprehensive program that includes both medical and interventional cardiology and open heart surgery with comprehensive rehabilitation services.

Orthopedics and Neurosurgery
A private orthopedics and neurosurgery unit opened recently at Venice Regional Medical Center to provide joint replacement and neuro patients a specialized, comfortable place to recover.

Special Procedures Lab
Interventional radiologists on the hospital’s medical staff use the latest technology and cutting edge techniques to treat many health problems, including circulatory disorders.

Hospitalist Program
Hospitalists are hospital-based primary care physicians that support physicians with outpatient practices. The Hospitalists at Venice Regional Medical Center are available 24 hours per day to assist with patient care. These physicians also take call in the Emergency Care Center to patients who have not yet established a relationship with a local primary care physician.

General/Vascular Surgery
Venice Regional Medical Center was recently recognized in the top 10% nationwide for excellence in general surgery. Our surgeons are highly trained and skilled in their specialty.

Venice HealthPark
Venice HealthPark is a comprehensive outpatient medical facility at Jacaranda and Center Road in Venice that allows the hospital to reach into the community with a wide array of services in a friendly and convenient setting. HealthPark’s many services include the following:

Diagnostic Services
Venice Regional Medical Center has comprehensive diagnostic services at both the Hospital and at the HealthPark outpatient facility. HealthPark has a complete radiology department that provides mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, radiology, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, bone density testing and includes a state-of-the-art 64-slice computed tomography (CT) scanner. An outpatient Clinical Lab draw station is also available for diagnostic testing of blood as requested by your physician.

Center for Wound Care and Hyperbarics
Also at our Venice HealthPark facility, professionals at the Center for Wound Care and Hyperbarics provide education combined with the latest treatment techniques to facilitate the healing of chronic wounds due to advanced diabetes and circulatory disorders. Hyperbaric medicine is a component of advanced wound care providing treatment for those chronic, non-healing wounds that have been unsuccessfully treated conventionally.

Sleep Lab
The HealthPark Sleep Lab provides comprehensive sleep studies for the diagnosis and treatment of a broad variety of sleep disorders, including sleep apnea.
