Venice Regional Bayfront Health is a 312-bed regional health care system that provides a comprehensive array of health care services to the greater Venice area and beyond. Always striving to meet our area's growing health care needs, the system has steadily expanded to include a number of facilities offering fully integrated health services. In addition to being an acute care hospital, our comprehensive cardiac services include open-heart surgery and an ambulatory care center. A primary-care physician group, a freestanding walk-in care center and a women's health center are just some of the many other resources under the Venice Regional Bayfront Health umbrella.
Venice Regional Bayfront Health has been recognized as one of top 50 cardiovascular programs in the country by Thomson Reuters. In addition, we have been recognized for our general surgeons and joint replacement program. All physicians on our medical staff are either certified by the American Board of Medicine or are elligible for this certification.
Our reputation of providing compassionate health care dates back to 1951 when four physicians and a local businessman worked to open the hospital's doors for the first time. Since then, we have grown and evolved right along with the region - and patients - we serve.
