Visitor Information

Parking

Free parking is available in the hospital parking garage, located just south of the hospital. The garage is open 24-hours a day and is security patrolled. If you prefer, convenient valet parking is available at the main entrance on the south side of the hospital.

Visitors

In today’s healthcare environment and with shorter hospital stays, most individuals admitted to a hospital are sicker and need to focus on getting better. The mornings, in particular, are important for attention to patient care and physician interaction. Visitors are welcome between 12:00 noon and 8:00 p.m. daily.

Food Services

Hot food is available in the hospital cafeteria, Monday-Friday at 6:30-9:30 a.m., 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and 5-6:30 p.m. On weekends, hours are 7:30-9:30 a.m., 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and 5-6 p.m. At other times of the day, the cafeteria is open for salads, drinks and sandwiches. A coffee kiosk serving specialty coffees, scones, and other snacks is also open between 7:00 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Spiritual Care

The Pastoral Care department is a vital part of the mission and ministry of Venice Regional Medical Center and is available to patients and their families whenever the need arises. If patients would like to have their Pastor, Priest, or Rabbi visit while they are in the hospital, the Pastoral Care department will be happy to contact them. People of all faiths are welcome to pray or worship in the hospital chapel, which is located adjacent to the main lobby.

Discharge Planning

In addition to discharge instructions for each patient discharge, some patients may require more comprehensive plans to meet their needs after leaving the hospital. A Case Manager can visit the hospital room and discuss plans for ongoing care. They can also help locate the appropriate community resources to provide the needed care.
