In honor
of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Venice Regional
Medical Center
hosted the “For Women Only” Health & Wellness Brunch on Saturday, October
17th. At this event a panel of four female physicians took
turns speaking about issues including breast cancer, migraines & head
aches, swine flu, and preventative measures women should take to combat
cardiovascular disease and colon cancer. The physician speakers included
Dr. Juliette Coleman, Dr. Rose Baez, Dr. Cynthia Maule & Dr. Beth Hart.
The event
was held outside at Venice
Regional Medical
Center’s outpatient
facility, Venice HealthPark, under a beautiful tent. Approximately 300
females enjoyed the physician panel along with a wonderful brunch, goodie bags
and numerous door prizes including massages, facials, and even a day of
shopping at Saks Fifth Avenue.
It was easy to see that the female attendees thoroughly enjoyed the event
and many even commented that they were already looking forward to attending
again next year.
